An update on the creative writing is due. I’ve slowed down on the short story production, though it took the turning circle of a tanker to do so. Two years from deciding to slow down to actually slowing down. I’m now at a Borges like tempo of three a year. Borges produced more like two short stories a year but I’ve found myself unable to get down to that speed no matter how much better the story might become if I could.

Novel number 3 will be revised by the end of next February which is just about the schedule I have set myself. I would say with one of my revisions every third word is altered but the book is not re-written.

I think we will finally manage to get a couple of comedy sketches filmed and up loaded on the site www.ianduckworth.net as well as on YouTube in September and October before the clocks go back. The business model for the site is free and upwards and this bit will be ‘free,’ something I have found to be a very important word.

Novel 4 has a full first draft, but will be something to start on later in 2020. What about the plays I hear you ask, well the plays are as they always have been and are best left that way. However on another front - the infinite book, something I’ve been working on for a decade has suddenly become something realistic and achievable. Watch this space.
