Two families, one French, one Russian are neighbours for two summer weeks in the South of France. For both families there is a sense of escaping from something unpleasant, while waiting, without great expectations for what is unknown. Everyone indulges in the usual holiday distortions of time, until no one is sure what day it is. Meanwhile, the two teenagers Veronique and Dimitri, find affection is the best plan for inaction.
